The White Heron Chorale has 75 singers, male and female, who volunteer their time to rehearse and perform 4 to 6 concerts per year. Members are from throughout the Fox Valley and beyond (from Waupaca to Manitowoc, Green Bay to Oshkosh).
Membership in the White Heron Chorale is open to all qualified area musicians who have successfully completed the audition process. Members are accepted on the basis of section need, vocal ability, musicianship, commitment, attitude and Chorale balance of voices. Annual dues are required of all White Heron Chorale members.

Rehearsals

Rehearsals are held Sunday evenings from 5:00-7:30 p.m. at Kaukauna High School. The Chorale’s rehearsal season runs from August 24, 2008 to May 16, 2009. Rehearsals are not held on major holiday weekends of Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s, and Mother’s Day.

Auditions

New Members
Prospective members are subject to an audition by the Music Director. Those auditioning are expected to prepare one minute of unaccompanied solo material and are expected to sight-read, sing scales and exercises from musical memory as part of the audition requirements. Auditions take place in May or June.

There is a need for basses at the present time.

Current members are required to re-audition at a time and frequency deemed reasonable and necessary by the Chorale Music Director.
